Local Collection

Arizona Author Collection

The “Eat Local” movement encourages people to buy and eat food that is harvested within the community. This movement gives consumers an opportunity to discover unique community bounty and re-establishes the connection between the eater and the grower.

In that same spirit, the Scottsdale Public Library has a LOCAL Collection in order to showcase the emerging literary, musical, and filmmaking efforts of our community. This collection will introduce library users to unique homegrown talent that is not yet nationally known, and give local content producers a tangible way to connect with their audiences. Arizona residents of all ages are encouraged to submit their books, CDs and DVDs for consideration. Materials will be selected based on the guidelines below.
