Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
ILL is a service allowing library items or a photocopy to be made available from one library system to another.
Interlibrary Loan Policy Statement
- This service is available to any Scottsdale Library card holder in good standing
- If the Scottsdale Public Library already owns a copy of an item, it is not eligible for request
- Books published within the last 12 months are not eligible
- ILL materials must be picked up, read, and returned 28 days from initial notification
- Media items (CDs / DVDs / Blu-ray/audio books) are not eligible for ILL.
- Each card holder may have up to 6 active/checked out requests
- ILL items cannot be renewed under any circumstance
- Patron may request the same title one time per 365 day
- Interlibrary loan materials are NOT part of the fine free policy
- $1.00 fee for Interlibrary Loan (ILL) item(s) not picked up
- $1.00 fee for each day an item is returned after its due date. Please note that it may take from three to eight weeks to receive your item
- Cancelled requests will remain on account and are counted as an active request until material is received and returned to lending library
- Please do not remove the band attached to your ILL item - the label is needed to clear your account
- Please return materials to a manned drive up window or service counter ONLY. Returns to drop bins MAY result in lost fees
- Magazine articles are provided via electronic access. A valid email address is required on the form. Patrons may view article online, print, or make copies of the article
- Microfilm viewers available at Civic Center Library only. Use of viewer requires a separate appointment for instruction prior to use
