Interlibrary Loan (ILL)

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a voluntary service allowing libraries to share materials.

Print books owned by Scottsdale Public Library, or available through MAX, the collection-sharing service are not eligible for Interlibrary Loan (ILL) services. Please check the library catalogue and MAX before submitting your request. View more information about MAX.

Interlibrary Loan Policy Statement

  • Only print books published more than 365 days ago are eligible for Interlibrary Loan (ILL) services.
  • ILL books are held for 7 days and check out for 21 days. NO renewals.
  • Interlibrary Loan is not fine free. Overdue fees are $1.00 a day.
  • Cardholders may not request the same title more than once every 365 days.
  • Cardholders are limited to six requests.
  • Please note it may take 3 to 8 weeks to receive your item.
  • Submission of this request does not guarantee that a book will be available in our borrowing network.
