Each year, The Friends of Scottsdale Library recognize significant contributions made to support libraries and literacy in Scottsdale by individuals, corporations, foundations and other entities.

Find your joy at Scottsdale Public Library during National Library Week! Whether it’s cozying up with a new story, learning a new skill, gathering with community or something else, you can find your joy at Scottsdale Public Library.

Scottsdale Public Library is looking for friendly, energetic and responsible teens between the ages of 14-17 to help this summer from June-July!

Scottsdale Public Library cardholders can now submit custom 3D print projects to be created and picked up at Civic Center Library and Mustang Library using the library’s online request form.

Connect with two local authors through the library’s Writers in Residence program, offering workshops and one-on-one appointments for writing advice.

As we welcome 2026, Scottsdale Public Library extends its sincere thanks for your continued support. In 2025, the library experienced an exciting and successful year marked by meaningful growth, new partnerships and expanded access through increased library hours.

This year’s contest invited children ages 5–8 to create a design for a library card. Luna, age 6, was selected as the winner from more than 80 submissions. Her artwork will be featured on a limited-edition Scottsdale Public Library card available next spring.

The library is choosing its newest children’s library card design, selected from 80 submissions by kids ages 5–8. Four finalists are up for a public vote through Dec. 3. The winning design will be revealed at the Ultimate Family Play Date on Dec. 6 and will become a library card next year.

Join us for a free, play-filled morning of art, science, literacy and building activities. Play is a fundamental part of early learning, and this event celebrates it through hands-on fun that encourages exploration and discovery.
