September is Library Card Sign-Up Month!
Discover how a single card can open the door to endless opportunities. With a library card, you can do more than simply check out books – discover e-books and audiobooks, stream movies and music, gain access to online newspapers and databases like Consumer Reports, and check out seeds, video games, board games and more!
This year’s theme, “One Card, Endless Possibilities,” is a reminder that libraries are for everyone, no matter your age, background or goals. Whether you’re diving into a new hobby, searching for your next great read, brushing up on tech skills or helping your child succeed in school, it all starts with a library card. At Scottsdale Public Library, you’ll find storytimes for the little ones, STEAM programs for school-aged children, Teen Advisory Board, book discussion groups, technology classes and presentations and so much more.
Getting a library card is free, easy and empowering. Stop by any of the four library branch locations or visit us online at ScottsdaleLibrary.org to sign up for your card today. Already have a card? Tell everyone you know to sign up for their own card!
To celebrate Library Card Sign-Up month, we invite kids ages 5-8 to design their very own library card in our Design a Library Card Contest! One design will be chosen for this year's newest card design. Find out more details on the contest and how to enter.
