Scottsdale Public Library has completed construction of a new interior wall at Mustang Library, addressing community concerns about noise from the youth area impacting other patrons.

The project, initiated in response to 2022 community feedback, was funded through State Grants-in-Aid and approved budget transfers. Construction began in early summer 2025.

The new wall separates the youth and adult areas, creating a quieter environment throughout the branch. The redesigned youth space now features a cozy early learning area with new toys that support childhood development. Early feedback from patrons has been overwhelmingly positive.
