Construction is underway at Mustang Library to build a wall separating the early literacy activity area from the adult library space.

This project originated in response to community feedback collected in 2022 regarding the noise levels within the youth area at Mustang Library. Once completed, the wall will enclose the children’s fiction collection and early literacy areas, making the youth area more distinctive and one that supports a quieter atmosphere throughout the rest of the library. 

Funding for this project was made possible through a State Grants-in-Aid Construction matching grant award and additional funding was provided through Library Gifts and Memorials. City Council approved the grant award and necessary budget transfers in March 2025 and completion of the project is anticipated to be mid-July.
