Material Donations

Donations of up to 25 items can be deposited in designated parking area drop boxes or drive-thru window areas at all branches.

Donations of more than 25 items may be brought to only the Civic Center Library or the Mustang Library Monday and Wednesday between the hours of 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Your donation of books, magazines, DVDs, and CDs are sold in our Library Shops only, they are not added to the general collection. This revenue funds early literacy programs and services in the community.

We accept materials in good condition that are gently used and are not dusty, damaged, torn, liquid damaged, or bug infested. Here are some guidelines:

  1. Books: We accept both fiction and nonfiction materials, as well as rare and collectible items.
  2. Paperbacks: We accept those in good condition without yellowed pages or damage.
  3. Children's Books: We accept those in good condition without damaged or torn pages.
  4. Magazines: We accept all current magazines (last four issues). Please remove address labels before donating.
    • Magazines: We do not accept magazine subscription donations or free magazines.
  5. Media: We accept CDs, DVDs and Blu-Rays.
    • Media: We do not accept VHS videos or audio cassette tapes.

We appreciate your interest in donating to the Library.

All donated items are placed for sale in the Library Shops or via third-party vendors generating revenue to fund library services and programs in our community. If you have any questions, please call 480-312-6016.
