Utilizing letters, personal accounts, and images drawn from the Gilder Lehrman Collection, this exhibition traces major events during the Civil War through the eyes of soldiers, presidents, freedmen, and families. Come to understand how people dealt with the end of slavery, the nature of democracy and citizenship, the human toll of civil war, and the role of a president in wartime.

The Eureka Loft at Civic Center Library

The Scottsdale Public Library has partnered with Arizona State University to create a collaborative workspace to Civic Center Library.

The Eureka loft is free and open to the public. The area is equipped with free Wi-Fi, coworking areas, a collaborative computer station and access to library resources.
