Parents, if you need help tackling toilet training, temper tantrums, meal time issues, as well as knowing the best books for your kiddos, then you should check out the Knowing & Growing programs at the Library. Ages birth to 5 years.

These programs, funded by a grant from First Things First, provide a wealth of information to help make your parenting life easier.

Civic Center Library Renovation

The Civic Center Library Renovation has begun! When you visit this library, please bear with us as we help to improve the layout of the library so it is more functional and up to date with:

1. A coffee/snack bar
2. An updated computer area
3. A new Library Shop
4. New Flooring in the lobby
5. Automated book returns
6. Updated seating and study areas

Friends of the Library Literacy Events

Douglas Sydnor1st Person Architectural History
Doug Sydnor, local architect and member of the Scottsdale Library Board presents his second book Plugger: The Architecture of Reginald Sydnor, which features his father’s architecture from 1952 to 1994. The book covers a 42 year period over three states and six architectural firms, but his most lengthy, creative and productive period was in the Valley of the Sun. Sydnor will sign all books all books on site.

A Cowboy Christmas"A Cowboy Christmas" An American Tale
Tom Van Dyke, a Cave Creek resident, writes a tale for the season. His creative expression of writing and film production are shared with his creation of fine art—his sculptures, paintings and photography are in the permanent collections at renowned museums across the country. A Cowboy Christmas will be available for signing at the event.
