Scottsdale Public Library and Teenagers; a Perfect Match!

Scottsdale Public Library and Teenagers; a Perfect Match!

This summer, more than 160 teenagers are volunteering at the library! The teens receive customer service training and earn volunteer credit for the time they work. They’re spending their summer days handing out prizes to children and teens for the library’s Summer Reading Program and working side-by-side with library staff. Teens also assist with special projects and programs. This past weekend teens helped set up the library’s book sale, moving thousands of books from storage to the sale area. With their help, more than 8,000 used books were sold!

Summer brings in thousands of teens, ready to read and have fun at the library. Teens enjoy gaming, socializing and attending programs planned especially for them. Check out the website created by Scottsdale teens at www.Wired2Go.net where teens can connect virtually. You can visit the library in person or online. No one needs to be bored this summer.
