What more can you ask for? Check out these Library services…

There are various services and tools available at the Scottsdale Library that some of our customers may not be familiar with. They include:

  1. You can request an item for the library to purchase. If there is an item that you believe the library is missing from its collection, there is a simple form on our web site that you can fill out to request the library to purchase. It’s simple, and you will receive a response from the library shortly informing you of the request status. Look at the bottom of the Library's homepage and you will see a link that says "What Should we Buy?". Click that link to get started!

  2. We can borrow items for you, from other libraries. Is there a great item that you know another library system has, and you wished that you could check it out from your Scottsdale Library? Believe it or not, this happens more often than one would think. This is called an Interlibrary Loan (ILL), and you can read more about the process here.

  3. You can renew your items online, any time day or night. By logging into My Account, via the library web site, you can manage all of your reserved & checked out items and even pay your fines! If you are on vacation this summer and suddenly realize that you need to renew a book to avoid fines, simply login, click to renew your book, and you are all set!

Library Hours for 2011/2012

Find the library nearest you!Earlier this year, you may have heard about proposed changes to library hours of operation. The City Council unanimously voted to keep all library hours intact for the 2011/2012 fiscal year. This is incredible news for our community! Please be sure to stop by your local library and check out a book, attend a program, use the free WiFi, or use our many research databases!

Kids will love this bingo game! Rather than calling out “B-12” or “N-34”, kids will match the pictures of some of their favorite book characters to the Bingo Board. Parents and caregivers, please come and join in the fun while helping your little one play this fun game, which is geared for children ages 3 to 9.
