The Write Stuff
The library hosts a special workshop for aspiring writers. Learn how to get started writing, options for publishing, how to market your book and even learn about e-books.
This free, day long workshop is presented by professional writers in collaboration with The Scottsdale Society of Women Writers. Don't miss this opportunity for in-depth information on how to get that book idea going that has been in your head for the past ten years.

Happiness: Choose to Smile

Don't let the little things get you down. Furthermore if you are in a funk – we think you should find that furry ladder of happiness and climb to a place with puppies and pizza (where I would go…) The library hosts a four-part lecture series on Authentic Happiness presented by Dr. Wendy Nickerson.
Choose Authentic Happiness Tues., Oct. 13 at 6:30 p.m. Mustang Library
Rise up to Emotional Wellbeing Tues., Oct. 27 at 6:30 p.m. Mustang Library
Two more programs to come in November.

Weekend Storytimes
If you are a working parent, chances are that you have not had the opportunity to indulge your child in one of the library's special story times. This fall, the library is pleased to present Saturday storytimes so that everyone has the opportunity to hear about my momma the llama and the sheep that drives a jeep (one of my favs). See a staff person 30 minutes prior to story time to receive a ticket for the program.
Preschool storytimes Saturdays at 11:30 a.m. Arabian, Mustang and Civic Center
Family storytimes Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. Arabian, Mustang and Civic Center
