Author Event One: Andrei Cherny discusses The Candy Bombers


Andrei Cherny will be at Mustang Library on April 12 to discuss an incredible time in world history. During the Berlin Airlifts, a pilot began dropping candy to the children in Berlin. This small act of kindess changed the course of the war and most likely, the world. This incredible story is outlined in Andrei Cherny’s book, The Candy Bombers. This is a story you must hear for yourself!

Author Event Two: Jewell Parker Rhodes talks Hurricane

In the stunning conclusion to award-winning author Jewell Parker Rhodes’s mystery trilogy begun in Voodoo Dreams and Yellow Moon, Dr. Marie Lavant, descendent of Voodoo queen Marie Laveau, must confront a murderous evil in New Orleans. This story weaves New Orleans’ past and present into a spine-tingling mystery that is masterfully crafted and deeply haunting. Come and hear Jewell discuss Hurricane! - it’s hot off the press!
