Keeping Backyard Chickens
Keeping Backyard Chickens
Learn about the benefits of raising backyard chickens. Rachel Bess will share with you how to successfully raise chickens from baby chicks, how to house them and take care of them including tips to mitigate our harsh desert climate.

About the presenter Rachel Bess: I was born in the Ozarks but raised in the Valley of the Sun. My day job is creating realistic oil paintings and I show them in galleries and museums around the world. A lifetime interest in gardening combined with a dissatisfaction with the industrial food system lead me to be more purposeful in my food raising hobby. This is how I originally became interested in permaculture and raising backyard livestock which have since become great passions.
