The Beneficial Beans Café at Civic Center Library is operated by the Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center (SARRC), and is helping to create meaningful jobs and provide vocational training for adults autism spectrum disorders. Bird Cloud Island
Bird Cloud Island
May 11, 2017 – August 31, 2017 at Civic Center Gallery
This summer installation is the annual exhibit in the Library Gallery at Civic Center Library where children and their caregivers can enjoy a relaxing fun filled adventure. Bird Cloud Island features a Mid-Century-Modern inspired hotel where you can be a Bird guest of the hotel, or a Concierge, who is the caretaker for bird life. Each path in Bird Cloud Island will start at the front desk with a color-coded pamphlet which contains instructions to complete your chosen paths. Explore some fun workshops associated with Bird Cloud Island this summer.

Saturday, Aug. 12, at 10 a.m. – Bird Puppets Workshop
Join us to make up to three different bird puppets: paper finger puppet, sock puppet and paper cup puppet with local actor, director and puppet maker, Steve Wilcox.
