When items you want are checked out, you can place a request online. Your request will allow us to notify you when the item is available for you to checkout. Requests can be made for books, audiotapes, CDs, videos, DVDs and CD-ROM software.
To place a request through My Account:
- After reading these instructions, log on to My Account using your library card number and PIN.
- Search for the item you want in the catalog search box at the top of the page.
- Click on "Request this title" or the Request button.
- When the "Success" screen appears, your request has been placed.
- Please be sure that your pickup location is correct. If not, read about changing your home library or pickup location.
- When you have successfully placed your last request, click "Logout" button to exit the catalog.
- You will be notified when the item is "ready for pickup."
To place a request using the Book Cart:
- Find the item you want in the catalog.
- Click "Add to Book Cart."
- Continue searching and adding the items you want to reserve to the Book Cart.
- Click "View Saved" at the top of the screen.
- Press the "Multiple Requests" button to view and request your saved items.
- Enter your library card number and PIN in the appropriate boxes.
- Click the "Request Available" button to request all items in your Book Cart.
- The "Processing Batch Request" window will appear and let you know if your requests have been successful or not.
- Click "Done" to close the window and "New Search" to return to the main page of the catalog.
Request Limit: Each customer may have a maximum of 20 requests at any time.
